Hello, my name is Terin Waller! Welcome to my blog, Set Apart.
I am super excited to start uploading on this blog in the upcoming new year because I feel that this has been my calling for a couple of months now. I want to share my journey as I dig into the Bible, and write about what I am most passionate about; my faith. I hope to encourage and lead other Christians through this blog, and share the Gospel with my posts!
I have decided to call this blog Set Apart, inspired by a verse that has been a big part of my life. Jeremiah 1:5 says,
“I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations.”
Other verses like Isaiah 41:9-10, Psalms 139:14, and 1 Peter 2:9 illustrate God’s divine, unique plan for US, his children! God created and knew us before we were born, and the Bible outlines our mission on Earth. Matthew 28:19 says,
“Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.”
Now that I have introduced the inspiration and vision for this blog, I want to tell my readers a little bit about myself.
My name is Terin Waller. I am a high school sophomore, and I love to write! When I get out of high school, I plan to pursue a career in political journalism, and hopefully become a Christian author. I love writing poetry, bible journaling, and participating in my school and church drama groups. At school, I am on the marksmanship team. I shoot rifle, bow, and do orienteering. A New Year’s resolution of mine is to write more, so in 2019 I will begin uploading journals, devotions, some of my poems and maybe even videos! My plan is to upload once or twice a month to start off, but it may be inconsistent because of school but bear with me!
To end this post, I want to say Merry Christmas and have a great end to 2018, I’ll see you next year!
